Nottingham Forest have joined the race for Sao Paulo defensive midfielder Pablo Maia, it is claimed.
The 21-year-old has 78 appearances for the Brazilian side since making his debut last year after graduating from the club's youth setup. He has scored four goals and provided one assist so far during his career.
And Bolavip Brasil claim in information translated by SportWitness that Forest have entered the race to sign Maia but face competition from West Ham and Fulham.

They claim that the two London clubs and the Reds have contacted the Brazilian side but the report does not specify who is leading the race for his signature.
It is claimed in the report that Sao Paulo ‘should negotiate’ the midfielder’s sale in the summer. They have reportedly warned his suitor's they are only willing to negotiate at around R$60m (roughly £9.6m).
They also report that the South American club have to raise funds and selling Maia and two other players is one of the ways they plan to do so.
Forest's chances of signing him may be affected by their Premier League status next season with Steve Cooper's side locked in a relegation battle. They currently sit three points above the drop zone with three games left.
