Nottingham Forest injury news: Giulian Biancone shares promising update

Nottingham Forest defender Giulian Biancone has provided an update on the progress he has made since suffering a knee injury in training.

It was confirmed last month that the 22-year-old sustained a serious knee injury prior to Forest's game against Brentford. Steve Cooper who confirmed the news at the time, said: "Unfortunately Giulian picked up a serious knee injury in training which will rule him out until the end of the season.

"It’s really difficult news for him, and a blow for us as well. I know he’s a player who hasn’t featured too much, but he’s a player who has been making good progress and who we really like. We’re gutted for him because it’s a serious injury. It’s a blow to the group as well."

The Frenchman has seemingly come a long way in his battle to full fitness and kickstarting his Forest career, Biancone has made just two appearances since his move from Troyes in the summer.

He took to social media Instagram to show himself walking without crutches for the first time. "First steps without any help since the surgery... Proud," he wrote.

In a different video posted of himself doing work on the treadmill, he added: "Too quick for you."
