A lot of Nottingham Forest fans were naturally left disappointed after the club announced that they had sold out their share of tickets for the Championship play-off final.
The Reds will take on Huddersfield Town at Wembley this Sunday for the right to play in the Premier League next season and demand has been unsurprisingly high. A few hours after going on sale, the club announced that supporters had already snapped up more than 17,500 of the club’s 36,475 allocation.
On Monday both clubs were allocated an extra 61 tickets for the game as tickets were made available to Forest fans with a booking history of at least three games this season on Tuesday. They were opened up to those with a booking history of at least one game shortly before selling out altogether, meaning they never went on general sale.

Over 36,500 Forest supporters will descend on the nation's capital this weekend for the club's biggest game in a quarter of a century, but those without a golden ticket will have to make do with watching at home or in the local pub. Many fans took to Twitter to express both their disappointment and excitement ahead of the big game, while some complained about the club's booking system.
Here is what some Forest fans were tweeting after selling out their half of Wembley:
Jack: Obviously disappointed that I won't be able to see Forest live at Wembley but it's understandable as the demand was always doing to be extremely high and with the small amount of games I got to this season it was always going to be tough. Hope those going have a great time #NFFC
Andrew Dent: Well done ladies and gentlemen, I’ll be cheering you on from home... Youuuu reddddssss!!! #nffc
Beth Yates: Absolutely gutted not to have got a ticket, but buzzing for all those that have! Can’t wait to hear the noise you make! #NFFC
Kenneth Field: Incredible support but woeful organisation from @nffc with so many falling foul of ticketing problems with zero help from the club. Disgraceful #nffc
Madaliene Fraine: Booking system isn’t fit for purpose doesn’t recognise booking history and too many technical issues and definitely not enough phone staff how many kids/families can’t be there how many others who’ve been too loads can’t go because it’s overwhelmed
Aaron Clayts: Never made general... unlike the small club still trying to shift them after giving fans 6 each. Bless 'em. #NFFC
Rob Jackson: I can’t wait. This is what dreams are made of. #nffc
Mike Andrews: Gutted. But not surprised and fair enough that ST holders got first dibs
Lee Johnson: Always wanted to sit in Huddersfield end anyway
Adam Dobbs: Absolutely gutted! Been going to the city ground for 25 years. Go well lads! See you in the premier league
Lawty: Devastated! Good luck to all that are going! Sing loud and proud! COYR! #NFFC
Dan Farrow: Gutted to not even get a chance to nab one of these, but fair play to all fellow Reds. Get down there and drown that stadium in red and white.
Joe Pakenham: Gutted for those who will miss out, but ecstatic I’ve tickets for my son and I! First trip to Wembley
Helliwell: Does this mean we go back to being absolutely buzzing and bricking it for the final now? You Reds
