Nottingham Forest are one of the clubs to be linked with an interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks, with a move reportedly possible before the end of the transfer window.
The England international has fallen down the pecking order at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium under Antonio Conte. He has been left out of the squad for all three of Spurs’ Premier League games so far this season and looks set to leave the club in the final days of the window.
A number of clubs have been credited with an interest, and it now seems that Forest have been added to that list. According to the Evening Standard , the Reds, along with Southampton are the two Premier League sides who ‘could make a move in the final week of the transfer window.’

Winks has also had interest from overseas from the likes of Sampdoria in Italy and interest from Spain. But it is said that the player wants to remain in England if it is possible to do so.
There has reportedly been previous interest from fellow Premier League sides Everton and Leicester City, but that is now said to have ‘cooled’. Spurs are reported to have set an asking price at around £20 million for the player, but that could possibly reduce the closer it gets to the deadline.
Forest have been the busiest Premier League team in terms of incomings this season. Steve Cooper has brought 16 new faces to the club since the end of last season, including midfielders Jesse Lingard, Brandon Aguilera, Lewis O’Brien, Orel Mangala and Morgan Gibbs-White.
Winks would provide a more defensive option for Cooper, with Lingard, Aguilera and Gibbs-White all attacking players. He has played a total of 203 first team games for Spurs, scoring five goals and providing six assists.
