Here’s the latest Nottingham Forest news on Saturday, July 30, 2022
Transfer exit imminent
Nottingham Forest forward Xande Silva is set to join Dijon on a permanent transfer, according to a report in France.
The 25-year-old will move to the Ligue 2 side on a three-year deal after spending just one season at the City Ground. In that time, he made 10 appearances - eight in the league.
He will move to Dijon for an undisclosed fee, though it is likely to be a small one given he is a fringe player under Steve Cooper and only has one year left on his contract. Silva joined Forest from West Ham last summer after spending the previous season on loan at Aris in the Greek Super League. He will now be moving on according to French newspaper L'Equipe.

Newcastle injury blow
Newcastle United will likely be without midfielder Jonjo Shelvey when they welcome Nottingham Forest in their Premier League opener on August 6.
Shelvey has picked up a hamstring injury over the summer and will be out for "around two weeks", meaning he could miss the game at St. James' Park next weekend when Forest come to town.
The 30-year-old made 24 Premier League appearances last season but could be set to play a lesser role under Eddie Howe during the season ahead. They have not signed any central midfielders yet this summer, but have been linked with several who could push Shelvey down the pecking order.
Newcastle enter Cornet race
Newcastle United have joined the race for Nottingham Forest linked Burnley winger Maxwel Cornet, with the Magpies ‘ready’ to trigger the player’s release clause, according to reports.
The Ivorian caught the eye in his first season in the Premier League in 2021/22, scoring nine goals in 26 appearances for Burnley. Despite his performances, the winger couldn’t stop the Clarets being relegated to the Championship on the final day of the season.
Cornet is said to have a release clause in his contract at Turf Moor which can see him move on for a fee of £17.5 million this summer. It has been claimed that Forest were willing to pay that amount for the player as Steve Cooper prepares his side for the Premier League .
Games moved for TV
Three of Nottingham Forest's Premier League fixtures in October have been moved for TV coverage.
The home clash against Aston Villa has been put back from Saturday October 8 to Monday October 10 as the Reds feature on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football with Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher. Kick-off is at 8pm. A week later, on Tuesday October 10, Forest go to Brighton for a 7.30pm kick-off on Amazon Prime Sport.
Finally, on Saturday October 22, Forest welcome Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool back to the City Ground for a 12.30pm kick-off on Sky Sports.
