Nottingham Forest have reportedly seen a double bid for Real Betis stars William Carvalho and Alex Moreno ‘rejected outright’ by the Spanish club.
The Reds are looking to add further to their squad over the next few weeks, despite Steve Cooper being one of the busiest head coaches in the transfer market so far this summer. Forest have officially completed the signings of 11 new players ahead of the new Premier League season.
Two players to be linked with a move to the City Ground are Real Betis full-back Alex Moreno and midfielder William Carvalho. Reports earlier this week said that the Reds failed with a bid for Moreno earlier this summer, with Betis reported to be holding out for a fee of around €20 million.

There were also claims that Forest had opened talks with Betis for Carvalho as they look to strengthen their midfield options. The Portugal international is reported to be at the top of a four man shortlist at the City Ground.
According to ABC Sevilla (via SportsWitness) , Forest have now seen a move for the pair knocked back by Real Betis. The report claims that the Reds bid a fee of €10 million for the two players, half of what the Spanish club are said to want for Moreno alone.
The Spanish report describes the offer as a ‘very low amount’ and adds that it was ‘rejected outright’ by Betis who deem the bid as ‘insufficient’. If Forest return with a second offer for the duo is still to be seen.
Both Moreno and Carvalho were regulars in Betis’ starting lineup last season. Moreno played a total of 45 games in all competitions in 2021/22, while Carvalho featured in 49.
