Nottingham Forest loanee Renan Lodi has revealed that he missed the loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers with a mild ankle sprain but is set to be fully recovered from the injury soon.
The 24-year-old was also not named in the matchday squad on Monday night against Aston Villa after playing the full 90 minutes against Leicester City following the international break. Lodi featured as a substitute for Brazil against Tunisia, having started each of Forest's previous four Premier League matches since arriving from Atletico Madrid.
Harry Toffolo has come back into the side as his replacement but gave away the penalty kick that Wolves converted for the winner at Molineux before being withdrawn for Sam Surridge as the Reds pushed forward in search of an equaliser. The former Huddersfield Town full-back's place in the team will soon be under threat again as his teammate is now nearing a return.

In a post on the player's Instagram stories, a photo of Lodi donning the Garibaldi during a match is captioned with the following message: "Some people are asking me about my absence in the last game, I'm in the final stages of recovery from the mild ankle sprain. Soon I'll be back!"
