Nottingham Forest are reportedly "considering" a move for Leeds United target Weston McKennie.
The American midfielder is close to joining Leeds from Juventus, with the two clubs deep in talks over a transfer, but nothing has been finalised yet.
According to The Athletic, Forest are mulling over a "late attempt" to hijack the deal and sign McKennie before the transfer deadline on Tuesday. Leeds want to sign the United States international on loan, with an option to buy, but now face late competition from Forest.

The factor that could play into Forest's hands is that Juventus, it is said, want money up front for McKennie's services. So if Forest are willing to do a permanent deal this month, they could give themselves the upper hand over Leeds.
McKennie has two United States teammates at Elland Road, though, so Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson could be a factor in him wanting to move to Yorkshire if the choice is down to him.
The Athletic also report that Forest are in "advanced talks" with Paris Saint-Germain for goalkeeper Keylor Navas because of injury to Dean Henderson.
