Transfer confirmed
Nottingham Forest have confirmed that midfielder Joao Carvalho has completed a move to Greek giants Olympiacos.
The player has been with Forest for three-and-a-half years after joining for a club record £13m form Benfica in the summer of 2018.
Carvalho has fallen down the pecking order at Forest this season, featuring just eight times during the campaign with just three of those appearances coming under Steve Cooper.
The 24-year-old has penned a fond farewell to Forest fans following the confirmation of his move away.
Lyle Taylor’s Nottingham Forest admission
Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor opened up on his struggles at the club after sealing a loan move to Birmingham City for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old has reunited with Lee Bowyer, his former manager at Charlton Athletic, as he bids to get his career back on track after scoring just eight goals in 61 appearances for the Reds .
Taylor admitted that his time at the City Ground has not gone as well as he wanted, but is hoping to turn the page with Birmingham during his short spell with the Second City outfit.
Forest have transfer decision to make
Nottingham Forest defender Tobias Figueiredo could reportedly leave the club before the end of the January transfer window.
Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes are said to be keen on taking the player back to his native Portugal in the final days of the month.
Figueiredo has just six months remaining on his contract at the City Ground , meaning that he is free to negotiate a pre-contract with overseas clubs this month.
However, according to Portuguese outlet O Jogo (via SportsWitness ), Vitoria are looking to sign the player before the end of the season.
