Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of defender Neco Williams from Liverpool.
The right-back becomes the Reds’ sixth addition of the transfer window as Steve Cooper puts together a squad ready for the step up to the top flight. And his arrival continues a summer spending spree, with owner Evangelos Marinakis significantly backing his manager.
Williams has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at the City Ground. Forest are said to have splashed out a fee in the region of £17m to secure his services, amid other interest from Fulham and Southampton.
