Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper thinks Keinan Davis is "enjoying" his time at the club so far.
Cooper brought in Davis on loan from Aston Villa last month until the end of the season and the 23 year-old has hit the ground running on Trentside.
Davis has scored twice in his six appearances for Forest and has also registered an assist for Cooper's men.
Davis is spearheading Forest's push for a play-off place and is relishing his first loan spell away from Villa, having struggled with injury this season and the form of Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings at Steven Gerrard's side.
Out of contract in two-and-a-half years, Davis has found game time hard to come by with Villa now challenging for a top-half finish in the Premier League and spending in excess of £25million on strikers to get them there.
For Davis that could mean a move away on a permanent deal and where better than Forest, where he is clearly settled and enjoying life in Cooper's system with the centre-forward given the chance to use his strength and ability to control the ball and bring other players into the game.
"We are really happy with Keinan and how he has settled in and his performances on the pitch," Cooper said ahead of Forest's game against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday.
"His first few weeks and games have given him a real base to kick on here. We are really enjoying having him and he seems to be enjoying it himself.
"Keinan has made an impact with his hold up play and linked up with the midfield. He can offer some size and aerial ability as well which helps us. He is a good technician and footballer.
"I knew he was decent anyway but when you start working with him up close in some tight exercises and drills, you realise he has a good touch.
"He can certainly keep the ball fairly comfortably."
Forest are without the injured Lewis Grabban, who recently turned 34, while Sam Surridge is on loan from Stoke City.
Grabban is out of contract at the end of the season and, on this evidence at least, a potential move for Davis must surely be in the pipeline for the end of the season.
