Nottingham Forest coach Dave Rogers reveals 'real belief' flowing through club

Nottingham Forest U23s assistant head coach Dave Rogers says it is a real "privilege" to be a part of a club providing success across all areas.

The Reds' Under-23s side moved into the Premier League 2 Division 2 play-off spots on Friday night after a 1-0 home win over Wolves and Rogers believes the only way is up now.

Will Swan provided the winning goal to beat Wolves at Meadow Lane whilst elsewhere the first-team are closing in on a Championship play-off spot, the Under-18s are in the FA Youth Cup semi-final and the Women's team continue to fight for promotion.

Rogers, who joined the club in August, said. "We have so many players in this squad, there is a really good team spirit and togetherness about the boys.

"But if you look at the club overall - from the first team to the academy and the women's team - there is a real buzz about the place and we just keep wanting the boys to carry on the belief that myself and Andy Reid put into them."

He added: "It's amazing. It's a real privilege to be a part of Nottingham Forest Football Club, especially right now.

"Through every level and every department at the club there is a real belief. I think you only have to look at the fans and the buzz around Nottingham to see that everyone is on-board and everyone is enjoying the time we are in. We want to keep going and see where that takes us."

With a seventh Premier League 2 win in nine games under the young Reds' belt, eyes are now firmly fixed on trying to cement their play-off spot.

"All we can do is keep concentrating on what we can do and not worrying about others. If we keep working hard on the training pitch and give the boys a confidence to go out and express themselves that will be great.

"We've got three games left. Let's see where it takes us but we focus on Monday now [against Stoke City]."
