Good morning, you Reds! Here's a look at your latest Nottingham Forest headlines.
Nottingham Forest close in on key transfer as contract length revealed
Nottingham Forest transfer target Remo Freuler is reportedly set to undergo a medical ahead of his move to the City Ground.
The 30-year-old midfielder is set to become the Reds' 13th signing of the summer, joining from Italian side Atalanta for a fee worth €9 million (around £7.6m), plus add-ons.
Freuler is reportedly set to sign a three-year contract to join Steve Cooper's side and will add experience to the Forest midfield after making over 200 appearances in Serie A and 46 caps for the Switzerland national team.
Nottingham Forest in shock transfer link for £55m Tottenham flop
Nottingham Forest have been linked with surprise interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
Head coach Steve Cooper is looking to bolster his central midfield ranks before transfer deadline day on September 1, with a number of players linked to the club so far. The latest name to be connected to Forest is Ndombele, who has fallen down the pecking order in north London.
He made nine Premier League appearances for Tottenham last season before joining Lyon on loan and could now be set for an early exit from Tottenham having joined three years ago for a whopping £55 million. According to a report in Ndombele's native France, Forest have "ticked his name" but face competition from a host of other clubs across Europe.
Crucial Nottingham Forest transfer depends on key Manchester United and Juventus decision
Nottingham Forest are reportedly stuck waiting for Manchester United's proposed deal with Adrien Rabiot to be finalised before going after young midfielder James Garner.
Garner, who featured 49 times for Steve Cooper's side last season, was a staple of Forest's midfield alongside Ryan Yates as a loanee from United and Forest have shown interest in bringing him back on a permanent deal.
The 20-year-old, who would be competing with the likes of Scott McTominay, Fred, Bruno Fernandes, Christian Eriksen and Donny Van De Beek if he stayed at United, showed promise when he started in a pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano and was an unused substitute in the Red Devils opening game of the season, a 2-1 loss to Brighton at Old Trafford.
Nottingham Forest key deadline looms for Steve Cooper to complete transfers
Nottingham Forest are close to finalising a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler for a fee worth €9 million (around £7.6m), plus add-ons.
The Swiss international will join Steve Cooper's side as signing number 13 of the summer transfer window following the Reds' promotion to the Premier League. Reports have reported that the 30 year-old will sign a three-year contract at Forest after six years in Serie A.
Eight players made their debuts in the opening day defeat to Newcastle United last week, with summer signings Wayne Hennessey and Giulian Blancone unused substitutes. However, Cooper and Forest face a fight against time to ensure Freuler can feature in the first Premier League game at the City Ground since May 1999.
