Danilo is appearing on the transfer watch lists of Europe's biggest clubs after just 12 league starts for Nottingham Forest, claim reports back in Brazil.
The 22-year-old midfielder quickly forged a reputation in the Premier League following his £16 million January move from Palmeiras, helping the Reds secure their status in the division. His form and furious work ethic has got him back in consideration for the Brazil national team - and seen speculation mount about his long-term future.
ESPN Brazil suggests that interest will step up in the January window if he keeps his level of performances at the standard he has hit so far in the East Midlands.
"The English club knows that they will not be able to count on the Brazilian for much longer," they report. "ESPN learned that the midfielder has drawn the attention of several major European teams and should be the target of surveys and proposals from the European winter market, if he continues to perform similarly to that presented so far.

"His versatility and experience in European football, added to his young age, make Danilo become an even more coveted name for European clubs in the future."
Steve Cooper has suggested that the player has to be managed carefully.
He said in April: “He is an exciting player; an exciting prospect and somebody I’m trying to manage carefully in terms of the exposure we give him. That means we must play him as well when we feel it’s right for him.
“You want a quick impact when you sign a player, but sometimes when young players come to clubs, it can be months before they even get a game. We are really happy with him.”
Fellow Brazilian Gustavo Scarpa, who also joined from Palmeiras mid-way through last season, has had to be more patient in terms of making an impact since moving to England.
But ESPN add: "Nottingham is betting that Scarpa will be physically prepared for the Premier League style and will be able to perform as expected in the hands of coach Cooper."
