Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper names his team to face Brighton

Head coach Steve Cooper has named his Nottingham Forest team to face Brighton and Hove Albion in this evening’s Premier League clash.

It is a second successive away game for the Reds, and a quick turnaround from Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Cooper was particularly frustrated by a poor performance at Molineux, something he is eager to see his team put right tonight.

Forest go into the match looking to end a run of eight league games without a win. They sit bottom of the table, having picked up five points from their first 10 fixtures.

Cooper makes three changes to the side which lost to Wolves. Serge Aurier, Orel Mangala and Jesse Lingard come into the XI, as Harry Toffolo, Cheikhou Kouyate and Emmanuel Dennis drop to the bench.

Aurier looks set to play at left-back, with Neco Williams keeping his place on the right. Steve Cook and Scott McKenna are once again the centre-back pairing, ahead of goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Mangala makes his first start since returning from injury, lining up alongside Ryan Yates and Remo Freuler in the centre of the pitch. Lingard will link up with Morgan Gibbs-White and Brennan Johnson in attack.

Wayne Hennessey, Giulian Biancone, Joe Worrall, Taiwo Awoniyi, Sam Surridge and Willy Boly make up the bench, along with Toffolo, Kouyate and Dennis.

Forest: Henderson; Williams, Cook, McKenna, Aurier; Mangala, Yates, Freuler; Gibbs-White, Johnson, Lingard. Subs: Hennssey, Biancone, Worrall, Awoniyi, Toffolo, Surridge, Kouyate, Dennis, Boly.
