Nottingham betting shop staff member spat on in 'disgusting' assault

Officers have released an image of a man they want to speak to after a member of staff in a bookmakers was assaulted. After a man was asked to leave the betting shop on January 19, the victim was spat on by a suspect who then grabbed a stool - as if he planned to throw it towards or use it to hit the staff member.

The suspect was pulled back by a member of the public before leaving the Ladbrokes branch on Radford Road, Hyson Green, at around 1.10pm. In an appeal released on Monday (February 13), a Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: "Disgusting behaviour of this sort is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

"To assist us with our investigation we have released an image of man who we believe could help us with our enquiries. If you are the person in the image or if you know who he is then please contact us."
