Nottingham continues to bask in higher temperatures than Barcelona this week as the sunshine is expected to continue into the weekend. The Spanish city is forecast a rainy few days, with temperatures hitting highs of only 15C, while the East Midlands experiences highs of 18C on Thursday (March 24).
It will be sunny with similar temperatures just below 20C on Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26, according to BBC Weather. From Sunday onwards, however, it is forecast to be cloudier in Nottingham, with highs reaching 15C and dropping to 10C by the end of the month.
“This settled spell of spring sunshine carries on for the rest of the week and beyond," Met Office forecaster Aidan McGivern said. "With clear skies expected tonight temperatures will fall away and a few mist and fog patches could form in one or two spots. They will be fairly isolated and most likely in parts of eastern England for example like recent nights with temperatures dipping away as well.

"A touch of frost in places as we start off Thursday. Frost free Western Isles, parts of Northern Ireland where it will turn cloudier through the night, perhaps one or two showers into the Western Isles.”
The Met Office has recently rubbished reports of an April heatwave - instead promising "unsettled" weather. Hopeful predictions from other weather forecasters suggested April could see the country sizzling in sky high temperatures, however this is now not predicted to be the case.
The Met Office said: "The weather is likely to turn more unsettled in early April. Showers or longer spells of rain are more likely to be seen across the UK, although short drier and more settled interludes are still possible.
"Showers may be heavy at times, with thunder and hail. Moving into mid-April, there is a trend for a return to more settled weather again, although some rain and showers are still possible in places. Temperatures are likely to be near average, with the south and southeast on the slightly warmer side."
