Notre Dame to wear green uniforms for Ohio State game

It’s the college football offseason but we’re always looking ahead, and one of the biggest nonconference matchups of the year is taking place via a return trip to South Bend for Ohio State. It’s the second game of a two-game series between the two football giants when it travels to take on Notre Dame on Saturday, September 23.

OSU took care of business last year in a bit of an underwhelming, yet workmanlike victory in Game 1 of 2022 in the ‘Shoe, but it’ll be a different animal going into hostile territory with a new quarterback in tow early in the season next year.

And to make matters worse, it appears the Irish administration is pulling out all of the stops. That includes the fabled green jerseys that will apparently be taken out of the bubble wrap for the contest. The news was aptly announced Friday, on St. Patrick’s Day through the football program’s Twitter account.

This should be one whale of a game and the green uniforms will make it even that much more fun. For some, going to a game in Notre Dame Stadium is a bucket list item, and this is a perfect chance to do it and make a lot of your friends “green” with envy (sorry, I had to do it).
