Notorious Scots fly-tipper found hiding under bed jailed after dumping 51 tonnes of tyres

A serial fly-tipper who was found hiding under his bed by cops has been jailed after dumping hundreds of tyres on streets, car parks and empty land around Glasgow.

Declan Clarke, from Drumchapel, was charging garage and tyre fitters between £1-£2 per tyre for disposal.

The 30-year-old dumped more than 500 tyres around Drumchapel and Gartloch Farm, near Gartcosh, costing the taxpayer more than £130,000 in clean-up costs.
