A man who constantly aggressively begged drivers at traffic lights in Leeds and Bradford has been given a three-year criminal behavour order. Iliuta Caldarar, 44, from Harehills, was given the order by magistrates in Leeds earlier this week.
Caldarar was convicted and fined over breaching a community protection notice for begging from motorists in Chapeltown Road and Claypit Lane on June 28.
Officers from the Safer Leeds Street Support Team had previously tried to address his behaviour through a range of other measures. However, Iliuta repeatedly refused to stop or engage with support agencies.
