Notorious Edinburgh brothel keeper Madam Moneybags died owning the Scottish Courts £780,441, is has been revealed.

Margaret Paterson reportedly paid back just over £200,000 of her ill-gotten gains when she died aged 66 in September 2019. In 2013, Paterson was sentenced to five years after being convicted of brothel-keeping, money laundering and living on the earnings of prostitution.

The Record reports how prosecutors are trying to recover the money from her estate.
