User @carley_hannah on TikTok is reliving her horrific experiences travelling on a JetBlue flight from last week. Uploading a video to her account 5 days ago, Carley told everyone watching that she was present on flight 543 the previous day, which was travelling from Newark to West Palm Beach, and she was seated on a window seat marked 14A.
Carley then revealed that everything was going ‘fine’ on the plane, but then when they ascended to a certain level, which she estimates to be around 10,000 feet, everyone heard a large “boom”, and when she looked out the window, she saw a “large red” and the plane started to smell like fire. This, Carley reveals, created commotion among people, as the flight attendants attempted to locate the source of the smell inside the plane while holding fire extinguishers. Carley then highlights that the flight crew eventually identified the source: the plane engine, following which people were informed that the plane would be redirected to Newark Airport, where they would find available emergency services for people in distress. After reaching the location, people were asked to slide off the doors and were guaranteed compensation for their troubles. While that seems fair, there’s a catch.
