The family of a missing Ayrshire man say they have been left baffled by his sudden disappearance more than two weeks ago.
Corry Ferguson was last seen leaving a Spar shop on Wheatley Road, Saltcoats at around 9.35am on Tuesday, March 1.
There has been no sightings of the 26-year-old since and his bank account has been inactive since the day of his disappearance.
Despite numerous searches and an ongoing police investigation, Corry's loved ones still have no idea of his whereabouts.
Cousin Kyle McBlane, 37, told the Record the more days that pass, the more the family are struggling with unanswered questions.
She added: "It's like he's just vanished. The not knowing is killing us. We just want to know what's happened to him or where he is.
Is he in danger? Has someone taken him? We just don't know anything.
"All the unanswered questions we have are so hard to deal with.
"The longer this goes on the more concerned for his safety we are.
"We just desperately want him back."
Corry is described as being white, around 6ft tall, with a slim build and brown hair.
When he was last seen he was wearing a black parka jacket, a green hooded top, grey jogging trousers, white trainers and a black baseball cap.
Officers said they are continuing to check CCTV footage from the town but are keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or video footage from the area.
Inspector Barry McNaught said: “We are extremely concerned for Corry’s welfare as it is totally out of character for him to go missing and not to keep in contact with his family. If you have seen him, please get in touch.
“Specialist search advisors supporting local officers in our searches and ongoing enquiries in and around the Saltcoats area.
“We have also been assisted by our Air Support Unit and police dogs. Officers are also continuing to check CCTV footage from the town in case that will help their investigation.
“I would ask anyone driving in or around that area with dash-cam footage or anyone with personal footage to contact us in case they have captured any details that may help us trace Corry.”
Anyone with any information that may help officers should contact 101 with reference 1113 of 3 March.
