An Apple event is happening on March 4, where the company is expected to reveal new hardware like the iPhone 17e, a cheap MacBook, and M5 Pro/Max MacBook Pros, among others. That’s a lot of potential devices, and if a new rumor is true, it appears Apple will dedicate a day of the week to each.
That’s according to John Gruber of Daring Fireball (via MacRumors), who posted how he believes the week of the Apple Event will play out. In addition to the Wednesday, March 4 event, Gruber says the expected products will be announced via the Apple Newsroom as press releases.

“So my spitball guess is that they announce all these products via Newsroom press releases, day-by-day,” says Gruber. “Like, say, the iPhone 17e on Monday, new iPad(s) on Tuesday, and new MacBooks on Wednesday. And then the ‘experience’ will be a hands-on thing with in-person demos.”
Bloomberg reporter and Apple tipster Mark Gurman chimed in, saying that he’s also expecting product announcements on those specific days, according to his sources. Like Gruber, Gurman also says the expected products will be press releases posted on the Apple Newsroom website. That said, there’s the possibility of each product getting a short dedicated video.
My guess is as good as yours as to what these products could be. If this rumor is true, I suspect the devices in question will be the iPhone 17e, the cheaper MacBook, and perhaps an iPad. We could also get M5 Pro/Max MacBook announcements, but the products I listed would all fit a general theme of being affordable. Of course, that’s pure speculation on my part.
As always with unofficial reports like this, take everything above with a healthy dose of skepticism. That said, Apple wouldn’t hold a media event for no reason, so you can bet we’ll see something substantial on March 4. As always, stay tuned for more news and rumors as we hear them.
