Liverpool have got themselves a steal with the capture of Porto's Luis Diaz, according to a legend of the club.
The Colombian finally arrived in Merseyside on Friday afternoon after a deal was struck between the two sides for his £37.5million transfer - a deal that could rise to £50million.
But former Porto star Eurico Gomes believes there was only one real winner in the business that has been done.

He said: “It was not a good deal. Porto don’t find themselves in a comfortable financial situation, but the truth is that Liverpool got Diaz for a bargain price.”
Diaz has signed a long-term deal that runs until 2027 and he will now join up with his new teammates after playing for Colombia in his country's World Cup qualifying matches.
Meanwhile, a former coach of Diaz' believes that the skilful forward will have no trouble adapting to the Premier League.
Julio Comesana, who had Diaz under his stewardship at Colombian side Junior, told the Telegraph: "“He’s a very humble boy.
“I’ve never seen him fighting others, being disrespectful or drawing attention for what he does on social media. He’s a protagonist where he needs to be and that is on the pitch.
“I have no doubt whatsoever that Diaz will be able to settle quickly in Liverpool because that’s the story of his life. He’s an adapter.”
