Northwestern head coach Chris Collins was ejected with less than two seconds of a tight overtime matchup with Purdue, and it’s as wild as it sounds.
Northwestern has a history with Purdue. In back-to-back seasons, the Wildcats have upset Purdue when the team is ranked No. 1. It’s pretty clear that the Wildcats have the Boilermakers’ number.
When another matchup between these teams was on the schedule, Northwestern’s head coach, Chris Collins, knew it wasn’t going to be easy. Right on cue, the game on Wednesday was an overtime thriller thanks to a timely Boo Buie bucket just as regulation ended.
But the real fireworks came after Purdue pulled away in overtime. With just seconds to go, Collins came unglued on the sidelines.

After the game, Collins explained why he unraveled in the best way possible. It was a theatrical masterclass.
