Northumbria Police seized a car suspected of being involved in criminal activity after it was abandoned in a Sunderland neighbourhood.
A silver BMW caught the suspicion of officers after being caught driving without a rear registration plate, with officers later discovering the car parked up on a kerb on a corner of Riverdale, Sunderland.
Just after 4pm on Wednesday, the BMW was secured by police.

Officers suspect the car had been involved in criminal activity in the area, and the car was subsequently removed shortly after its discovery.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Shortly after 4.11pm on Wednesday, police located an abandoned silver BMW on Riverdale, Castletown.
"It is suspected that the car had been involved in criminal activity and was seized for further enquiries."
