UPDATE: Police confirmed they had stood down the search for Ronnie on November 11 2022
Northumbria Police have launched a public appeal in a bid to help trace an elderly man who has been reported missing from Battle Hill in the Wallsend area.
Ronnie Brown, who is 81 years old, was reported missing to the police today (Sunday, November 6) and both police and his loved once are concerned for his welfare.
He is described as 5'2" tall, medium build and was last seen wearing a dark jacket, burgundy jumper and Sketcher trainers. According to BBC weather temperatures in Wallsend tonight are expected to plummet to a bitterly cold 8C so if Ronnie is spotted outside police are urging the public to inform them of his whereabouts.

Shortly after 10pm this evening police tweeted their appeal and shared an image of Ronnie, the tweet read: "Please help us find Ronnie Brown, 81 years of age, reported missing from Battle Hill in Wallsend on Sunday 6th. He is 5'2" tall, medium build and was last seen wearing a dark jacket, burgundy jumper and Sketcher trainers. Contact us on 101 or online quoting log NP-20220611-0821."
