Northumberland's kerbside glass waste collection trial has been branded a success and extended for a further year - but there is still no news on when it will be rolled out to the rest of the county.
Four thousand homes across four towns in Northumberland - Alnwick, Bedlington, Morpeth and Hexham -have been involved in the trial since November 2020.
The trial was extended to a further 800 homes last year, but while the scheme has been welcomed, council officers have said that a funding boost is needed from central Government before it can be rolled out county-wide.
