A Northumberland butchery trio of Newcastle United fans have lined up a special match-day menu ahead of Newcastle United's appearance in the Carabao Cup Final at the end of this month.
Eddie Howe's men will make their first ever appearance at the new Wembley on Sunday February 26 after defeating Southampton over 3-1 on aggregate, with a Sean Longstaff double confirming their place in the final on Tuesday night. They'll line up against Manchester United, who won their semi-final 5-0 on aggregate against Nottingham Forest.
Tell me ma, me ma, I won't be home for tea, I'm going to Wembley, has rang out throughout Newcastle United's Carabao Cup run. It may have started in hope rather than expectation when Jamaal Lascelles and Chris Wood helped the toon to scrape a 2-1 away at Tranmere's Prenton Park back in August, but any Geordies lucky enough to get their hands on tickets will be heading to the national stadium believing the Toon could realistically get their hands on a first domestic trophy since 1955.

However, for those who are staying at home for tea on Sunday February 26, a trio of butchers think they've created the ideal meal to have alongside the match. The menu, which launches this weekend at Turnbull's Northumbrian Food Hall in Alnwick, include The Toon Truffle, The 'Broono Burger', The Geordie Banger, BotmanBerg, Black & White Lorne Sausage, the Wembley Wellington and 'Eddie Howe's Black n White Chicken'.
Alex Daley, a huge Bruno Guimaraes fan, came up with the 'Broono' burger, a beef burger flavoured with Newcastle Brown Ale. He described it as a "class act" like the World Cup quarter finalist.
And Dan Turnbull is proud of his meaty take on a Battenberg, with the BotmanBerg being a pork filled layered with black and white pudding and wrapped in bacon. There's not a hint of marzipan.
And finally, Alan Hall has created the Wembley Wellington. Strips of beef steak, seasoned them with garlic oil, combined with mushroom sauce and encased in a black and white striped top of puff pastry.
Butcher Dan Turnbull, who is shortlisted as a top three finalist in the British Game Awards, said: "We thought it would be good to create a special breakfast for the final, the perfect way for the Toon to start the day. What better than The Geordie Banger, Black & White Lorne Sausage and Black & White Striped Pudding."
The dishes are on sale at Turnbull's Northumbrian Food Hall in Alnwick until the final, though it hasn't been confirmed if Carabao is an ideal drink pairing. And if you do buy any of the dishes, just be careful not to Burn them when cooking at home...
For more information, head to Turnbull's Northumbrian food hall on the Willowburn Retail Park or visit the website.
