A man who fell from the Katherine River Bridge into "fast-moving" waters is recovering after Northern Territory police officers pulled him to safety.
In a statement, NT Police said officers received a report about 10:30pm on Wednesday night that a man had fallen from the Katherine River Bridge and into the river.
General duty police officers attended the scene, along with emergency services personnel.
The man was pulled from the water by police and taken to Katherine District Hospital by St John Ambulance, police said in a statement.
Acting Commander Meghan Funnell said it was "a fantastic outcome".
"I would like to commend the work of the police officers who, without hesitation, entered the fast-moving waters to rescue the man," she said in a statement.
