Ten-piece soulsters Stefan Taylor and The Signatures are performing at Paisley’s Rocknrolla’s venue in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
All profits from the gig, being staged in Wellmeadow Street, will be donated to the charity.
The band has been performing together for around six years and has raised a lot of money for good causes through events including March of the Mods, which sees British and Irish Mods working together to bring in money for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
Stefan said he loves Northern Soul music and doing something that he “loves” for a good cause is a great experience. He explained: “I have been playing with The Signatures for around roughly six years and we have done many March of the Mods gigs where they have raised a lot of money for a good cause.

"When you are performing at these events and you are on stage and see the buckets going round, people wearing the T-shirts and getting involved, there is something extra special about that as you are doing what you love and it is helping a good cause.”
Stefan, 28, has shared the stage with some incredible singers such as Tommy Hunt, singer for The Flamingos, who he says was a great inspiration to him as he taught him how to take care of his voice and perform to a crowd. He says Tommy was always gracious with his time and he is thankful to have spent time backstage with him.
Every day, seven young people aged between 13 and 24 hear the words “you have cancer”. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need – so no young person faces cancer alone.
Looking ahead to the gig on Saturday, August 6, Stefan is looking forward to coming back to Paisley after performing in the town a few years ago.
He said visiting Scotland is always a great experience as the crowd wants to get involved, adding: "Coming back to Scotland is always an incredible experience as the people want to dance and get involved.
“We came to Paisley a few years ago and the crowd then was amazing, so to be coming back to perform here again is a wonderful experience and one that I can’t wait for as the last time was memorable.
“I definitely think that we will be coming back to Scotland after this tour because it is just unreal, performing in places like Glasgow and Edinburgh with crowds from all over is exciting.”
