Northern has released an additional 500,000 tickets at just 50p after launching its flash sale earlier this week. Customers have until 4pm tomorrow (Friday, January 13) to get their hands on a bargain ticket.
New journeys have been added in the sale at the 50p, £1 or £1.50 rate. These include Leeds to Sheffield (from January 30), Leeds to Manchester (midweek), Sheffield to Manchester (midweek), Leeds to Nottingham (midweek), Buxton to Stockport and Bishop Auckland to Middlesbrough all in both directions.
The tickets are valid for travel between Tuesday, January 17 and Friday, March 10 on Northern services only. You can purchase them on the Northern website and via the Northern app.

These are on top of the five million tickets released on Tuesday when the sale launched. Originally one million tickets priced at 50p were on sale, three million at £1 and one million at £1.50.
Mark Powles, commercial and customer director at Northern, said: “We’ve had an amazing response to our January Flash Sale – hence the decision to release a further 500,000 tickets and add a number of new routes into the mix. That said, all good things must come to an end and the sale will close at 4pm tomorrow, so customers should book now to avoid disappointment.”
