
Northern Ireland Secretary Hilary Benn has insisted the Stormont Brake process has “worked”, as the Government announced it will not halt the appliance of updated EU rules on packaging and labelling of chemicals which apply in Northern Ireland.
Mr Benn said he has dealt with concerns of MLAs in “a sensible way” and he will “take the necessary measures to ensure that there aren’t regulatory barriers between Northern Ireland and Great Britain”.
