BAILEY PEACOCK-FARRELL 6
Denied Celtic striker Giakoumakis in the first half and could do little about Bakasetas’ sweeping finish before the break.

Caught his club Liverpool teammate Kostas Tsimikas with a late challenge early doors. Steep learning curve for the teenager who was eventually replaced by Niall McGinn.
PADDY McNAIR 6.5
Played on the right hand side of a back three and produced a tenacious display. Looked increasingly frustrated as the flow of the game went against Northern Ireland.
JONNY EVANS 6.5
Did very little wrong and was as composed as ever, but will be disappointed with the nature of Greece’s winning strike six minutes before the break.
DANIEL BALLARD 6.5
Worked hard and gave little quarter on the left hand side of a back three. Another solid performance from the young Arsenal centre-back.
PADDY LANE 5.5
League One’s young player of the year who brought a lot of energy and intent in his first competitive start but got caught for Greece’s opener.
STEVEN DAVIS 5.5
Patrolled the base of midfield but struggled to influence the game as Greece enjoyed greater possession in the first half. One of the captain’s quieter nights.
GEORGE SAVILLE 6
Brought mobility to the midfield battle and broke forward when he could, before making way for impressive debutant Shea Charles in the latter stages.
ALI McCANN 5.5
Preston North End midfielder buzzed about in the engine room and tried to get forward but struggled to get a foothold on the game as Greece bossed possession.
GAVIN WHYTE 5.5
Played off Lavery and tested the goalkeeper with a slick turn and low shot in the first half. Eventually replaced by Dion Charles.
SHAYNE LAVERY 5.5
Worked tirelessly but saw very little of the ball. Blackpool striker fed off scraps and had little sight of goal before being replaced by Kyle Lafferty.
