Northern Ireland boss Ian Baraclough probed on Glentoran star's absence from squad

Ian Baraclough Glentoran Jay Donnelly

Northern Ireland boss Ian Baraclough has played down suggestions he was on the cusp of handing prolific Glentoran striker Jay Donnelly an international call-up.

Donnelly, who has scored 25 goals in all competitions for the East Belfast club this season, has been in the form of his life in recent months.

And four weeks ago Baraclough appeared to open the door for the 26-year-old when he was asked by reporters if the Irish League’s top scorer was on his radar.
