Those eligible to donate blood are being urged to come forward amid warnings that stock is extremely low.
The Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service issued the appeal on their social media pages on Thursday. They said they need donations to help deliver cancer care and care for neonatal babies.
One 30 minute appointment could save up to three lives this summer, they added.

"Appealing to all our eligible donors to book an appointment this week and next week," a spokesperson said.
"Our stocks are VERY LOW and this is being impacted by summer holidays season. We need you to donate to help deliver cancer care, care for neonatal babies and surgical appointments.
"If you are in any of [our] locations this summer, please consider booking a 30 minute appointment to save up to three lives this summer, Call 08085 534 653 today to book your slot: HQ, City hospital site sessions Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays."
The Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service exists to fully supply the needs of all hospitals and clinical units in the province with safe and effective blood and blood products and other related services. It is an independent, Special Agency of the Department of Health and is responsible for the collection, testing and distribution of over 55,000 blood donations each year.
