Northern Accountants acquires TAC Accountants as it expands in Merseyside and Yorkshire

A Yorkshire accountancy firm has acquired a Merseyside company and announced major growth plans for East Yorkshire.

Leeds-based Northern Accountants has bought Birkenhead-based TAC Accountants – a property and construction specialist with 167 clients – for an undisclosed sum. Meanwhile the company has appointed a new director in Hull and expanded its Leeds office.

TAC founder Ben Thexton will become a director at Northern and all staff at TAC, which turns over some £250,000 annually, will be retained. Northern aims to build on TAC's links with the property and construction sectors to grow further in Merseyside.
