People across the North East should expect a mix of sunshine and showers this weekend.
It will be largely dry and bright for those heading out on Friday evening. Rain is expected to make an appearance throughout the night but will clear by dawn.
According to the Met Office, Saturday will be a day of sunshine and showers. There will be a 50% chance of rain at 11am and a 30% chance of a downpour between 5pm and 6pm. Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 18°C
