The North East will be hit with rain and chilly winds as we bid farewell to the shortest month of the year and head into March, which will bring with it the official first day of spring in just three weeks' time.
According to the Met Office, Tuesday is set to be another largely cloudy day with scattered showers across the region. Temperatures will be around average with highs of 8°C, but may feel chillier as the brisk wintery breeze persists throughout the day.
