The North East is set for a cloudy couple of days according to the latest forecast from the Met Office.
The sun will be out very briefly on Friday morning after some outbreaks of light rain, and the day should remain dry for the most part, though a light shower is expected between 5 and 6pm.
Temperatures will hit a maximum of 8°C. Saturday will be similarly cloudy.
The Met Office said: "A cloudy start with some outbreaks of light rain, clearing south through the morning. Sunny spells following, with isolated blustery showers through the day. Colder again overnight with patchy frosts. Maximum temperature 8 °C."
