North East weather: Hour-by-hour forecast for Wednesday and Thursday according to the Met Office

The North East is set to continue enjoying warmer temperatures and glimpses of sunshine as we head into the final days of January.

The Met Office has forecast a cloudy night which will feel cold and breezy with fog over the Pennines and Cheviots, though the frost we've grown accustomed to waking up to recently won't be making an appearance as temperatures remain above zero. Wednesday is set to start off cloudy before brightening up in the afternoon, once again seeing balmy highs of 10°C in the region.

Thursday is predicted to bring the odd shower in the east, but otherwise there will be sunny spells continuing into Friday while the early forecast for Saturday looks to be cloudy.
