The North East will see yet more unpredictable weather over the next couple of days as we approach the end of April, with both sun and showers on the way.
According to the latest weather forecast from the Met Office, evening showers on Wednesday will ease overnight with a patchy frost forming under any clear skies as temperatures drop to a minimum of 1°C. Thursday will get off to a dry start, with patchy cloud and some bright or sunny spells.
Cloud will push in from late afternoon, followed by rain later on in the day and overnight with highs of 12°C. The look ahead to Friday predicts patchy cloud and some sunshine, before the unsettled weather is set to continue over the weekend as we bid farewell to April.
