Anyone hoping for a sunny weekend across the North East will be left disappointed, with a mixed bag set in store for the region.
Tomorrow looks to start off with stormy overcast skies, and end cloudy, however, the sun will shine through in intervals mid-afternoon, before night falls. Temperatures between 7C and 3C are expected.
And Sunday looks like a rinse and repeat according to the Met Office, with grey and cloudy blankets filling up the sky for the most part. However, not a droplet of rain is anticipated for either day, leaving the North East miserable but dry. Temperatures between 9C and 5C are estimated respectively.

The Met Office, says: "Rather cloudy and damp to start, however it should become dry during the morning and eventually brighten up from the north into the afternoon. Temperatures near average, with light winds.
"Maximum temperature 7 °C."
