Despite a new week dawning, the miserable weather from the weekend is set to stay across the North East.
Tomorrow's outlook is that of overcast clouds, shadowing the region from early morning until early afternoon. These will soon fade slightly, but no sun will shine through them as far as forecasters can see. Temperatures between 13C and 10C.
Tuesday looks to bring more of the familiar white clouds, apart from an hour or so at noon which will play host to sunny intervals above the Tyne. Temperatures between 11C and 6C are anticipated.

The Met Office's official forecast says: "Rather cloudy with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle, especially on hills. Brightest in the east, where it will feel mild in any sunshine.
"Strong and gusty winds gradually easing. Maximum temperature 13 °C."
