It looks set to be a cloudy end to the working week across the North East.
The Met Office forecast says it will be an overcast day in Newcastle on Friday, March 3 with highs of just 7°. However, it looks set to remain dry throughout the day as people get ready for the weekend.
Looking ahead to Saturday, the weather is set to remain the same, with a largely cloudy day forecast and highs of 6°C.

The Met Office said: "Drier with variable and often large amounts of cloud Friday, with some occasional bright or sunny spells developing. Temperatures are near average. Cooler on the coast, with a light easterly breeze. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
"Cloud and showery rain moving south on Saturday."
