The sun is expected to shine across the North East over the next two days.
There will be sunny spells across the region on Thursday and Friday, indicating that the summer is not yet over. It will also remain warm with a maximum temperature of 22 °C.
The Met Office predicts that Thursday will be a dry and bright day. They said it will feel "pleasantly warm" with long sunny spells and light winds, under generally clear skies.
