People across the North East will be enjoying sunshine at the beginning of the weekend.
Over the next two days, the temperature is set to remain warm with a maximum high of 21 °C. There is expected to be a mix of cloudy weather and sunny intervals.
The Met Office predicts that Friday will be bright first thing but will become cloudier from the west. In the Tyneside area there is set to be sunny intervals between 9am and 8pm. However forecasters believe there could be showers in some areas of the region.

Saturday is expected to be "increasingly settled". The Met Office predict that with cloudier periods and a few showers remain possible over the weekend.
