Heavy rain and a chance of hail is forecast for tomorrow, with weather expected to remain unsettled as 2022 comes to an end.
The Met Office predicts "spells of rain and strong winds" towards the end of the week after showers return to the region on Wednesday. Forecasters added that some showers could be heavy and turn to hail in some areas.
The official Met Office forecast for Wednesday is: "Rain returning Wednesday, spreading northwards throughout, and falling heaviest over western and southern hills. Clearing to showers later on, some of these locally heavy, and with hail in places. Windy. Maximum temperature 9 °C."

The outlook for Thursday to Saturday is: "Rather unsettled throughout, with spells of rain and strong winds interspersed by sunny spells and showers. Some chilly starts, with the risk of ice, but generally temperatures around average."
