North Carolina's Republican legislative leaders completed their remapping of U.S. House districts, a move designed to secure an additional seat and aid Donald Trump's efforts to retain GOP control in next year's midterm elections.
The new boundaries, approved by the state House, threaten Democratic U.S. Representative Don Davis's re-election; his constituency spans over 20 northeastern counties. The state Senate approved the plan in a party-line vote on Tuesday.
